A new art exhibit will showcase multiple local artists who have residencies at a popular Ocala art incubator celebrating its 10th anniversary.
“To the MAX: Magnolia Art Xchange’s 10-Year Anniversary” will be on display at the Appleton Museum of Art from February 15 to May 18. Located at 4333 E Silver Springs Boulevard, the facility is displaying the artwork within its second-floor preview gallery.
The show features art from the Magnolia Art Xchange’s resident artists: Rod Acosta, Kendra Brazzel, Joan Elizabeth, Sarah Lajealle, Z Reyes, and Tyrek Studivant.

The Magnolia Art Xchange, better known as the MAX, is celebrating its 10th year as a “vibrant hub for artists, educators, and art enthusiasts,” according to a statement from the College of Central Florida.
As an incubator, the MAX provides emerging and mid-career artists with a space to create professional artwork.
Artists have 24-hour access to the facility, which they also use for public educational programs and as a space to host exhibitions to showcase their work.
“Celebrating the 10-year anniversary of the Magnolia Art Xchange is incredibly meaningful because it marks a decade of fostering creativity, building community and empowering artists,” said Darian Mosley, MAX board member and secretary, in the press release. “This incubator has not only had a profound impact on our local art scene but has also sparked a momentum that promises even greater achievements in the years to come.”
