Marion County will celebrate its 181st birthday later this month with games, live entertainment, and family friendly activities.

On Saturday, March 29, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Marion County Day will take place at the McPherson Governmental Campus at 601 SE 25th Avenue in Ocala.

During the festival, attendees will take a trip down memory lane as local organizations participate in telling Marion County’s story in a fun, informative, and interactive way.

The event will also feature games, live entertainment, local vendors, a kids’ zone featuring bounce houses, archery, and other fun activities, and many food trucks.

The community festival is free to attend and open to the public.

Marion County commissioners hosted the first Government Day in 2018. The inaugural event included various services and activities, and over 1,000 people attended.
