Local civil rights organizations are hosting a “Spring Fling” this week at a local recreation center as an outreach to Marion County voters.
The NAACP Marion Branch, Equal Ground, and Black Votes Matter are hosting the Spring Fling at the Silver Springs Shores Community Center, which is located at 590 Silver Road in Ocala, on Saturday, March 15, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The event will feature food trucks, a kid crafts table, special guests, local vendors, and other family-friendly activities.
Residents are encouraged to visit to “get informed and involved” and learn from those in attendance.
