Three members of a local gang, including two minors, were arrested after they allegedly robbed a 19-year-old man at gunpoint and brutally beat him in Silver Springs Shores.

On Wednesday, February 26, the two juvenile suspects – a 17-year-old boy and 16-year-old boy – drove the victim to a secluded park located near the Silver Springs Shores Country Club (633 Silver Road in Ocala) to meet the third suspect, identified as 18-year-old Jeremiah Arzavius Smith, according to the Marion County Sheriff’s Office.

Upon arrival, the juvenile suspects distracted the victim while Smith allegedly approached the victim while armed with a gun. According to MCSO, Smith then proceeded to strike the victim with the firearm, causing “serious bodily harm.”

The sheriff’s office stated that the three suspects continued to attack the victim before stealing his possessions. During the incident, the victim was “disoriented.”

After the alleged robbery, the suspects fled from the area, and the victim was able to obtain help from a passerby.

An MCSO investigation led detectives to identifying the three suspects as members of the “Getlow” gang, which originated in the Silver Springs Shores area, according to the sheriff’s office.

Last week, Smith and his two alleged teen accomplices were arrested and transported to Marion County Jail, where they are currently being held without bond. In addition, they are being charged with robbery with a firearm and aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.
