A man from Georgia claimed a nearly $18,000 prize from a lottery ticket that he purchased at a supermarket in Marion County last week.
Robert Nash Kirkland of Clarkesville, Georgia, claimed a $17,912.13 prize from a winning Fantasy 5 lottery ticket last week.
Kirkland purchased the winning ticket from the Salt Springs Food Store located at 13535 N Highway 19 in Salt Springs. Kirkland matched all five of the winning numbers for the midday drawing on Thursday, May 22. The winning numbers were 6, 8, 17, 20, and 29.
In addition to Kirkland, two other individuals claimed equivalent prizes from the same drawing (Salvatore Savarese of Hollywood; John Limardi of Fort Lauderdale).
The Fantasy 5 is a Florida Lottery game wherein five numbers are selected out of 36 at random.
