Local park rangers will continue a popular reading program this week at Scott Springs Park.

The Reading with Rangers & Friends program will take place on Friday, June 20, at 10 a.m. at Scott Springs Park, which is located at 2825 SW 24th Avenue in Ocala.

According to the city, the events are free and open to the public and provide an opportunity for families to “explore city parks while immersing themselves” in a book.

The weekly program continues every Friday throughout the month of July at different locations in Ocala:

  • June 27 – Lillian Bryant Park (2200 NW 17th Pl)
  • July 11 – Heritage Nature Conservancy (2005 NE Third St)
  • July 18 – Mary Sue Rich Community Center at Reed Place (1821 NW 21st Ave)
  • July 25 – Citizens’ Circle (151 SE Osceola Ave)

The events are free to attend and open to the public. Registration is not required and all visitors are encouraged to pack a snack, blanket, or chair.
