Basketball and tennis courts at several parks across Ocala will be closed for the next couple of weeks as the city resurfaces and repaints the structures.

On Wednesday, the city announced the closures of the courts at the following Ocala parks:

  • Lillian Bryant Park (2200 NW 17th Place)
  • Lamb Park (1200 NW 9th Avenue)
  • Martin Luther King, Jr. Recreation Complex (1510 NW 4th Street)
  • Fisher Park (900 SE 22nd Street)
  • Idlyweir Park (809 SE 9th Terrace)
  • Wyomina Park (1051 NE 11th Avenue)
  • Toms Park (2245 N. Magnolia Avenue)

The city expects the projects to take around two to three weeks to be completed. While work is being performed, the other parts of the parks will still be open to the public.

At the beginning of this year, the city conducted similar improvements to the basketball courts at Tuscawilla Park.
