A 67-year-old Ocala man was arrested this week on sexual assault charges after he was accused of sexually abusing a girl multiple times over a five-year period.
On Wednesday, the juvenile victim wrote a note to one of her high school teachers, which alleged that she was being sexually abused by Abraham Rodriguez. School officials then notified the Marion County Sheriff’s Office, and an investigation was launched, according to the arrest report.
An MCSO detective spoke with the victim, who advised that the alleged sexual abuse began when she was around 10 years old. The most recent incident allegedly occurred on September 23, 2025, at Rodriguez’s home located on SW 159th Street Road in Ocala.
According to the report, the victim had told a friend about the sexual abuse, and one of that friend’s family members encouraged the victim to report the incident to her school.
During an interview with investigators, the victim described an encounter with Rodriguez that allegedly occurred while he was “babysitting her at his home” when she was “9 or 10 years old.” The victim alleged that she was in Rodriguez’s bedroom when he asked her to “play a game” and instructed her to “remove her pants,” according to the report.
After Rodriguez allegedly removed the victim’s pants, he placed her on his lap, with his hands “grabbing her waist.” She then claimed that Rodriguez proceeded to “penetrate her” with his penis. The report stated that when the sexual assault was over, Rodriguez allegedly told the victim to “keep this a secret.”
According to the victim’s statement, another incident allegedly occurred at Rodriguez’s home when she was 12 years old. She told investigators that Rodriguez told her to “get on her knees” in his bedroom, and she alleged that she was forced to “perform oral sex” on him.
While speaking with investigators, the victim also described the most recent incident that had allegedly occurred two weeks prior. The victim was at Rodriguez’s home when he allegedly forced her to take off her clothes. He then allegedly instructed her to “get on the bed” before climbing on top of her, pinning her wrists by her side, and raping her, according to the report.
An MCSO detective noted in the arrest report that the victim was able to describe Rodriguez’s bedroom in detail.
Following the victim’s interview, deputies responded to Rodriguez’s residence, where they made contact with him and transported him to MCSO headquarters for questioning. After being read his Miranda rights, Rodriguez allegedly denied “touching” the victim, and he further claimed that the victim had never been in his bedroom, according to the report.
Rodriguez was placed under arrest and booked into Marion County Jail, where he is currently being held without bond. He is being charged with one count of sexual assault of a victim under the age of 12 and two counts of sexual assault of a victim between the ages of 12 and 17.
A court date for Rodriguez has not been scheduled yet, according to jail records.
