A 16-year-old boy from Levy County suffered fatal injuries on Friday after he lost control of his all-terrain vehicle and was ejected from the vehicle.
The fatal accident occurred near the intersection of SE 160th Avenue and SE 22nd Place in Morriston on Friday, December 26.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the 16-year-old boy was driving a Honda Pioneer ATV northbound on SE 160th Avenue, approaching the roadway’s intersection with SE 22nd Place at around 4:15 p.m.
The driver proceeded to make a left turn, causing the vehicle to overturn.
After the vehicle overturned, the teen was ejected. He was later pronounced deceased at the scene.
