A 40-year-old man who climbed through the drive-thru window at an Ocala Taco Bell and robbed the facility using a large rock, has been sentenced to four years in prison.
Kewarren Lee Anderson was sentenced to four years in the Florida Department of Corrections for the armed robbery on January 22. Anderson was given credit for 199 days already served in the Marion County Jail.
The conviction stems from an incident that occurred on July 8, 2025. On that day, at around 12:30 a.m., officers with the Ocala Police Department responded to the Taco Bell at 2380 SW College Road after employees reported a robbery in progress.
Witnesses told police that Anderson entered the fast-food restaurant through the drive-thru window while carrying a “large rock.” Once inside, he allegedly demanded money and chased the employees out of the building.
Body camera footage released by the department shortly after the incident showed the chaotic moments following the robbery.
Anderson, who fled the scene, was tracked by a K-9 unit to a spot behind a nearby dumpster, where the dog quickly apprehended him.
Anderson was treated for injuries sustained during the arrest before being booked into jail.

Around six hours after his arrest, while Anderson was being held in a medical pod, he got into a physical altercation with another incarcerate. In August, he was charged with battery by a person at a detention facility.

Anderson was found guilty of the additional charge and the sentence he received last Thursday accounted for it.
