The Ocala Police Department has released body camera footage that shows a K-9 nabbing a 40-year-old man after he allegedly robbed a local Taco Bell.

On Tuesday, July 8, at around 12:30 a.m., OPD officers responded to the Taco Bell located at 2380 SW College Road in Ocala after receiving reports of an armed robbery incident, according to the police department.

Employees told OPD that the suspect, later identified as Kewarren Lee Anderson, entered the fast-food restaurant through the drive-thru window. Anderson, who was carrying a “large rock,” allegedly “demanded money” before chasing the employees out of the building.

OPD officers soon arrived on-scene, and a K-9 partner began tracking Anderson. He was quickly found “hiding behind a dumpster.”
