The pavement at Tuscawilla Art Park transformed into a colorful canvas on Saturday as artists competed in the third annual OTrak Chalk Walk.

The City of Ocala Cultural Arts Division hosted the event on Jan. 24, bringing together professional and student artists to create temporary masterpieces under the theme “Hidden Gems of Florida.”

The 2026 OTrak Chalk Walk took place on Saturday, January 24.

The competition featured vibrant chalk renditions of the county and state’s most beloved natural treasures, including Ginnie Springs, oranges, and manatees.

Following the day of creativity, city officials announced the winners in both professional and student categories.

Professional Competition Winners

  • Best in Show: Jordan Jones ($1,000 prize)
  • Second Place: Brian Morris ($500 prize)
  • People’s Choice: Sky Noel Sadler ($500 prize)

Student Competition Winners

  • Best in Show: Charlotte Reed ($500 prize)
  • People’s Choice: Abigail Hunter ($100 prize)

In addition to the cash prizes, student winners Reed and Hunter received one-year memberships to the Marion Cultural Alliance and the Appleton Museum of Art.

The event was free and open to the public and featured local artisans and craftsmen, non-profit organizations, and food trucks in addition to the live art demonstration.
