The Marion County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in identifying a man who allegedly robbed a local Family Dollar at gunpoint.
On Tuesday, January 27, the male suspect entered the Family Dollar located at 3245 SW 142nd Lane in Marion Oaks. He then allegedly brandished a firearm and pointed it at a victim while demanding money, according to MCSO.
The sheriff’s office described the suspect as a Black male in his late 30s. He appears to be approximately 5’10” to 6’0” tall, with some gray hair in his eyebrows and beard.
At the time of the robbery, the suspect was wearing a mask, a gray zip-up sweatshirt, dark-colored pants, and black shoes.
In a social media post, MCSO shared two photos of the suspect. “While the images may not be clear, someone who knows this individual may recognize his clothing, build, or the way he stands,” said the sheriff’s office.
“Even small details could be critical,” added MCSO.
