An introductory African dance class will be held at a venue in downtown Ocala this weekend.
The “Rhythms of Africa: Dance & Culture” class will be hosted by DeNaya Wilkerson at the Mary Sue Rich Community Center (1821 NW 21st Avenue) on Saturday, February 8, from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m.
The class will allow visitors to immerse themselves in the rhythms and energy of African dance, drumming, and storytelling.
No prior dance experience is necessary and the event is free; RSVP is requested.
