A scratch-off ticket for $2,500 a week for life was sold at a 7-Eleven just south of Marion County last week.

A winning ticket for the $2,500 A Week For Life scratch-off game was sold at the 7-Eleven located at 3045 Norvell Bryant Highway in Lecanto on March 18. The gas station is situated in Citrus County, just a few miles south of the Marion County border.

According to records maintained by the Florida Lottery, the ticket was purchased by a resident of Beverly Hills, Florida.

The winner’s identity has not been released, per state law. According to Florida Statute 24.1051, winners of Florida Lottery prizes valued at $250,000 or more are exempt from public disclosure for 90 days from the date the prize is claimed.

The winner elected to receive the cash prize option, which equates to approximately $1,949,000. The odds of winning the top prize in the game are 1 in 7,760,595. The most recent winning ticket is the third $2,500/week for life prize claimed in the past 9 months.
