To the Editor:
I know that we are in a bad water situation and are under restrictions. Then, why do so many companies get to use so many tons of water, but we can’t?
Are these Artificial Intelligence Units using more water than a little city does in total in one day?
The builders that are ruining our city can use water for new houses being built, but we can’t maintain ours.
Per “Unit” (Data Center): A single, large, data center can consume up to 5 million gallons of water per day, which is comparable to the daily water usage of a town with 10,000 to 50,000 people.
Really?
