An introductory African dance class will be held at a venue near downtown Ocala this weekend.
The class will be hosted by DeNaya Wilkerson at the Heart of the Park Tuscawilla (516 NE Sanchez Avenue in Ocala) on Saturday, May 9, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.
The class will allow visitors to immerse themselves in the rhythms and energy of African dance, drumming, and storytelling.
No prior dance experience is necessary and the event is free to attend. An RSVP is requested and may be submitted through the Heart of the Park website.
