UPDATE: The Marion County Sheriff’s Office reported that Hunter Lee Ethridge has been located and reunited with his family as of Thursday, June 4.

The Marion County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help to locate a missing and endangered 16-year-old boy who left a concerning note for his family before disappearing from his Ocala home on Monday.

The Marion County Sheriff’s Office is seeking information from the public to help locate Hunter Lee Ethridge, who was last seen at his residence located in the 11600 block of NW 8th Place in Ocala, Florida.

According to a media release issued by the sheriff’s office, Hunter told his siblings at approximately 12:20 p.m. on Monday that he was going to take a shower.

After an extended period of time, his siblings became concerned and went to check on him.

Upon checking, they discovered the shower running, the clothing Hunter had been wearing earlier in the day, and a note.

Although the contents of the note were not disclosed, law enforcement authorities say the they have raised serious concerns for Ethridge’s safety and well-being.

Hunter is described as a white male with brown hair and green eyes. He stands 5 feet, 6 inches tall and weighs approximately 175 pounds. His date of birth is August 16, 2009.

Anyone who has seen Hunter or has any information regarding his current whereabouts is urged to call 911 immediately.
