To the Editor:

In all the years I’ve lived in this area, I have never seen as disruptive behavior as these commissioners that, as soon as they find a hole on State Road 200, to drop a permit on builders with no regards of the people living in this community.

It’s not only On Top of the World, it’s the distraction of this area that is being destroyed. I have seen drivers running the red lights on SR 200, speeding at 80 and 90 mph on SW 60th and disregarding slower drivers, and pot holes all over the roads.

Our homes have lost their value due to all those low income apartments with people from all walks of life. It’s a nightmare and all I can say that for this to be happening in this community at such a fast rate, there has to be money transactions from builders to whom ever is facilitating permits.

This has to stop. We don’t need any more builders any where on SW 60th and surely on SR 200. The commissioners need to approve a bigger budget to the police department so they can control speeders and drivers going through red light. Right now, we need help. No thanks to who has destroyed this once beautiful community.
