Jacqualine “Jackie” Reffitt, age 90, of Ocala Florida passed away on June 9th, 2026. She was born on April 23rd, 1936, in Warsaw, Indiana and lived a long, full life marked by love for her family, her home and the many simple joys that brought her happiness.

Family was at the center of Jackie’s heart. She is survived by children, Allen Mockley, Cindy (Greg) Hadaller, and Sandy (Jimmy) Scott. She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren, Dr. Ashley (Pastor Ben) Loftis and Brad Mockley along with many nieces and nephews. Jackie was especially close with her two sisters’ Patty and Sue and she loved talking (and bickering) with them daily. Every day at 9 am they would call each other to discuss their days. Those conversations were a treasured part of her life, and the love she shared with her sisters was deep and enduring. She is survived by her sister Patty Hartwell. She was preceded in death by her sister Sue Holley.

Jackie found great joy in her animals. She loved them fiercely and took care of them like they were her babies. Her dog, Mr. Sir, was by her side till the end and he loved her as much as she loved him. Her fur babies were always a big part of her life and she took immense comfort in having them nearby. She passed this love of animals to all her children and grandchildren.

Jackie was also known for her love of food and she was an amazing cook. Her children constantly fought over her oatmeal raisin cookies and her homemade fudge. She was also known for her delicious sweet potatoes, the family insisted that she always bring them to holiday meals. When she lived in North Carolina she would love to host Thanksgiving Dinners with lots of family. Those holiday weekends were filled with reminiscing about old memories and creating new ones.

Those who knew Jackie will remember her as feisty and not afraid to speak her mind. She would always give you her opinion whether you wanted it or not. Her life was a blessing to her family and friends and her memory will be cherished always.
