Marsha Monfort Strange passed peacefully at the age of 88 years old with family at her side on 5-31-2026. She was born on 3-2-1938 and spent most of her adult life living in Mcintosh, Fl. Born in Tampa, Fl, she graduated from Hillsborough High School in 1956 and was crowned Miss Tampa the same year.
She has a Bachelors degree from Florida Southern College where she met her husband of 62 years, James Lawson Strange Jr. Marsha had a deep reverence for our nation and our lord and savior Jesus Christ. Marsha had an extensive career in education spanning over several decades where she taught at Anthony Eementary School. She spent over 20 years working on the town council in Mcintosh and spent several terms as the towns first female mayor. She enjoyed her down time playing bridge with friends, worshipping at the United Methodists Church, gardening in her yard and cheering on the Florida Gators.
Marsha is proceded in death by her parents John and Sadie Monfort, brother Bill Monfort, and husband Jimmy Strange.
Her remaining family members are Daughters Bonnie Tyner, Linda Strange, and Susan Boland. She has 5 grandchildren: Joey Della Rosa, Maury Collett III, Carissa Beck, Steven Beck Jr., and Dawson Boland.
