Deacon Willie B. Luke was born on March 25, 1938 to the late Oscar Luke and Eva Goode.

He received his formal education from the Marion County Public School System where he was a graduate of Howard High School.

His passion was fishing. He loved being out over the open waters catching fish.

He was employed at Southern Structure Industries for many years as a supervisor until he retired as well as Patrick Industries.

He was a hardworking man.

He loved his family – children and grandchildren.

He loved to eat fried hot fish (Brim) with hot grits, hot sauce and mustard and he loved Popeyes chicken breast and wings with a side of red beans and rice.

He was a very active man until his health begin to fail. He always said,

“Keep having Birthday’s”!

Deacon Willie Luke was preceded in death by his Parents and his eldest grandson, James Gunsby, Jr., Daughters: Velvet Luke and Pamela Luke.

He leaves to cherish his memories:

Wife: Martha G. Luke; Daughters: Azaleea Wilson (Daniel), Yolanda Leahmon (Bernard), Stephanie Luke and Debbie Hardy; One Sister:

Carrie Alexander; 12 Grandchildren; Nine Great Grandchildren and a host of Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and Friends who will cherish him
