A youth production of one of the most iconic children’s books of all time will take residency at the Ocala Civic Theatre this weekend.
The Ocala Civic Theatre (4337 E. Silver Springs Boulevard in Ocala) will host a youth production of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory from Friday, July 10 through Sunday, July 12.
The play is performed by the Arts For All youth cast, which features actors aged 9 to 17. Performances are scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on Friday, 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, and 2 p.m. on Sunday.
Presented by the Arts For All youth cast (ages 9-17), the youth production is rated G. The story is dramatized by Richard R. George based on the book by Roald Dahl. Tickets are now on sale for $20 for adults and $12 for ages 18 and younger, in any seating section.
