Dawn Michele Guthrie, age 62, passed away on June 28, 2026, in Ocala, Florida. Born in Manhattan, New York, Dawn was the cherished firstborn child of Patricia McBride-Guthrie and William Guthrie. She spent her early years raised in Brooklyn, New York, before moving to California, where she graduated from Fremont High School in 1981.

Dawn eventually returned to New York, where she worked a variety of roles, most notably serving her community as an operator and dispatcher for the NYPD. It was also during her time in New York that she became a mother to her three children: Kyle, Tyler, and Asia. Later in life, Dawn relocated to Florida, where she focused her time and heart on raising Kyle and Asia.

Dawn was truly a force to be reckoned with. She possessed a fiery personality, an unforgettable smile, and a one-of-a-kind spirit. She found great joy in the simple pleasures of life, holding a deep passion for music, cooking, and shopping. Above all, she loved spending time creating memories and watching classic movies with her beloved family and friends.

Dawn was preceded in death by her mother, Pat Guthrie, her father, Bill Guthrie, her brother, Damion Guthrie, and her beloved child Tyler Weston. Her legacy of strength and love lives on through her surviving children, Kyle and Asia, as well as the many lives she touched. She will be forever missed but never forgotten.
