Odell “Pop” Green, departed this life on July 7, 2026, at the age of 74.
Born on August 31, 1951, in Ocala, Florida, Odell was the son of Minnie Maxey Green and Coman Fortum. He was lovingly raised by his aunt, Janie Austin, whose care and guidance helped shape the man he became.
Known affectionately as “Pop,” Odell will be remembered for the love he shared with his family and the lasting impact he made on those who knew him. His presence, wisdom, and memories will forever remain in the hearts of those blessed to call him family and friend.
Odell leaves behind a family who will forever cherish his memory, including his devoted niece and caretaker, Beverly Thomas; his beloved daughter, Natasha Williams; his brothers, Bernard, LJ, Robert, and Benjamin; and his sisters, Betty, Christine, Dolores, and his living sister, Rosa-Lee Brown. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends whose lives were touched by his kindness and presence.
