Ocala woman arrested on DUI charge

Jacqueline Hinman

An Ocala woman has been arrested on a charge of driving under the influence on Wednesday on State Road 40.

Marion County sheriff’s deputies conducted a traffic stop on a blue Ford truck that was swerving on SR 40, according to an arrest report. When deputies made contact with the driver, 67-year-old Jacqueline Hinman, she asked deputies “What?”

Hinman attempted to provide a pawn ticket and paperwork about the vehicle, but never found the registration.

Deputies detected a strong odor of alcohol coming from Hinman’s breath, and observed her eyes to be bloodshot and watery. Hinman told deputies that she had been drinking, but “not much.” After failing sobriety exercises, Hinman was placed under arrest and transported to Marion County Jail.

She provided breath samples that registered at .268 and .272 blood alcohol content.
