A woman who was living at the Bridgewater Park Health & Rehabilitation Center in Ocala claims that money and a gift card were stolen from her wallet during a stay at the nursing home.
According a report filed with the Marion County Sheriff’s Office, the woman made the discovery as she was packing to move out of the facility, which is located at 9280 SW 81st Ct. She told the sheriff’s office that the last time she remembered seeing the missing items was April 17.
The woman said that she normally stayed in her room until nurses took her to receive rehabilitation therapy, which usually occurred between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. She also said that she wasn’t allowed to lock her bedroom door per facility rules, the report states.
