A Marion County Sheriff’s deputy was contacted by a Wal-Mart loss prevention officer Sunday afternoon after a man walked out of the Summerfield store with a Blackweb sound bar valued at $168.
According to a Marion County Sheriff’s Office report, the loss prevention officer said he watched the man remove the sound bar from a shelf and take it to another aisle, where he forcibly removed the Spider Wrap security censor from the item.
The loss prevention officer said he attempted to stop the man as he was leaving the store, but he said, “I have a receipt” and kept walking through the parking lot.
The man was described as a tall white male in his twenties who was wearing a blue shirt.
The Summerfield Wal-Mart is located at 17961 S. Highway 27/441.
