Juanita Collum Malone, 102, born January 22, 1916 to Harris V. Collum and Ressie Hayes Collum in Cobb County, Georgia, passed away June 14, 2018 in Ocala, Florida.
Juanita was known to be a hard worker, organized, frugal and meticulous as an office manager for Florida Crushed Stone. That tenaciousness carried over in her personal life. Because she was so thrifty, Juanita did not waste a penny.
Juanita leaves a legacy at the First Baptist Church of Ocala where she was a dedicated member since 1947. During that time the church was still in it’s infancy and located downtown Ocala. She gained innumerous close friends over the years and at 102 years young, she has out lived many of them.
She is preceded in death by both of her parents and in July 1983, her husband of 36 years, Paul J. Malone.
She is survived by countless friends that loved her like their own family.
A Visitation Gathering will begin 10AM, Thursday, June 21, 2018 in the Fellowship Hall at First Baptist Church of Ocala, 2801 SE Maricamp Road, Ocala, Florida 34471. A Funeral Service will commence at 11AM with Pastor Ed Johnson officiating. Juanita’s Graveside Blessing will immediately follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, Ocala, where she will be laid to rest by her beloved husband and her Mother.
