Marion County firefighters battled a blaze in Belleview last week that destroyed a 1,200-square-foot mobile home.
Firefighters were dispatched to the home, located in the 12000 block of SE 112th Avenue Road, at 12:34 a.m. Tuesday, July 10 after a 911 caller reported hearing explosions from oxygen tanks. The resident had escaped the flames and was transported to a local hospital.
Firefighters from several stations responded to the blaze, with the first engine on scene reporting the mobile home to be fully involved in flames. A search of the home proved that no one else was inside and the blaze was called under control at 1:03 a.m. The State Fire Marshal is investigating the cause of the fire.
