A Summerfield woman called a Marion County sheriff’s deputy for help Tuesday after discovering a burglary had taken place at her home.

The 44-yaer-old woman, who lives in the 16200 block of SE 97th Avenue Rd., told the deputy that she had arrived at her residence and noticed that a door had been forced open and two patio chairs were missing from her carport area. She said when she left the house at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 24, the door was secure, the chairs were there and “everything was as it should have been.”

The deputy took down the information and advised the woman that he would file a criminal mischief and petit theft report. The damage to the door was estimated at $200 and the chairs taken at $50.
