Ruth Boda Martin, 90, passed away Friday, December 13th at the Brookdale Chambrel Pinecastle, Ocala, Fl. She was born in Lorain, OH, the daughter of the late Rev. Andrew and Mary Pakan Boda. She married Ronald Wayne Martin in 1961 in Tallahassee, FL. He preceded her in death in 2007. After marrying her late husband, Mrs. Martin moved to Miami, raised a family of 2 sons, worked at the University of Miami for over 25 years and retired as the Executive Director of their Law Center. She moved to Ocala in 1999 and was a member of the Our Redeemer Lutheran Church. She is survived by sons David (Tammy) of Woodstock, Ontario, and Ken (Katy) of Orlando, Fl, a sister Ann (Roy) Maack of Oviedo, FL, a brother, Dan (Ellie) Boda of Greenville, SC, a sister in law, Coleen Story of Clearwater, FL; seven grandchildren, David, Melinda, Sarah, Chris, Joe, Destiny and Daniel, and three great-grandchildren, Charlotte, Lorelai, and Embry.

She was preceded in death by her brother John Boda of Tallahassee, FL and Rev. Samuel (Lydia) Boda of Granite City, Illinois. The family will receive friends Saturday, December 22nd for a remembrance service at 11am at the Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Ocala, FL . Private graveside services will be held at Florida National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her name to Juvenile Diabetes and Autism research.
