Nancy Lee Thomas Parris

Nancy Lee Thomas Parris, 88, passed away December 13, 2018. Nancy was born in Huntington, West Virginia, November 4, 1930. Her mother passed away when Nancy was young, and she was raised by her aunts. The family ran a boarding house where Nancy learned to love people at an early age.

Nancy moved to Ocala, FL in the 1950’s with husband Billy Barker, who preceded her in death. On October 7, 1979, she married Carlos Parris. They spent many happy years serving the Lord together before he passed away. Nancy is survived by two stepdaughters, Dianna Passalacqua, and Charon Parris, as well as nephews and cousins in West Virginia.

Nancy worked for the Holiday Inn for 38 years, where she made many friends. She was an active member of Central Christian Church for nearly fifty years. Her family and friends will miss her caring spirit, her laughter, and her notes of encouragement.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, January 12 at 11:00 AM at the Candler Cemetery. Arrangements by Roberts Funeral Home East.
