An Anthony man was charged with domestic battery last week after he allegedly grabbed a woman by the hair, hit her in the face and scratched the side of her neck.
The victim told a Marion County sheriff’s deputy that Ricky Dean Crutcher, 29, of NE 127th Place, also kicked her in the right upper thigh and shoved her into a kitchen closet. The deputy observed a scratch on the right side of the victim’s neck and a small bruise on her upper right thigh, according to the sheriff’s office report.
Before the deputy could question him, Crutcher spontaneously said the victim punched him in the face first, she got scratched when he was holding her down. The deputy did not observe any marks on Crutcher’s face, according to the report.
Crutcher was arrested and taken to the Marion County Jail, where he was released Wednesday on $1,000 bond. His next appearance in Marion County Court is set for May 15.
