Ocala man caught driving Jag without a license

Jequan Aveontea Roberts

An Ocala man was charged with a third or subsequent offense of driving without a license after he was pulled over for not having visible license tag lights on his 2011 Jaguar.

An Ocala Police officer stopped Jequan Aveontea Roberts at around 11:20 p.m. Sunday along the 1100 block of West State Road 40. A check of the Driver and Vehicle Information Database (DAVID) revealed Roberts’ license was revoked on Oct. 2, 2018, for possession of a controlled substance, according to the police report.

Roberts was arrested and taken to Marion County Jail, where he was released several hours later on $1,000 bond. A court date has not been set.
