Richard Arda Jackson, Sr., 84, passed away October 24,2019. He was born March 7, 1935, in Richwood, West Virginia, to the late Arda Jackson and Mauda Smith Jackson.
He was a veterinary assistant for Dr. Butler and the Sarasota Humane Society for many years and loved working with animals. Richard was a wonderful father, father-in-law, grandfather, Pee Paw, Pap Pap, and so much more to many. He loved to tinker in his garage, listen to country music, go fishing, and spend time with family. He was quiet by nature but had a fun sense of humor. He had a lifelong love of sweets!
He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Lorean Lawson Jackson. He was a devoted father to his children, Deborah (Johnny & Valerie) Klepfer, Amanda (Christine) Jackson, Darlena Jackson, Arda (Candace) Jackson. He is survived by his grandchildren; Gina (Cory)Lane, Neva (Jeff) Hunt, Robert (Teresa) Perkins, Cassandra (Tim) Wojtaszak, Leah (Travis)Saxon, Erika Cagle, Richard(Fawn) Klepfer, Joshua (Sondra) Jackson, Mandy (Kyle) Belford; 16 great grandchildren and 2 Great-Great Grandchildren, and many extended family and friends.
A memorial service with potluck luncheon will be held at 1pm on Sunday, November 10, 2019 at the Marion Oaks Community Center, 294 Marion Oaks Lane, Ocala, FL 34473.
