Sabores Latinos Restaurant and Catering opens doors in Ocala

Sabores Latinos Restaurant and Catering opened its doors in Ocala this past month.

The restaurant, which is located at 2515 NE 3rd Street in Spring Hill Plaza and specializes in Hispanic cuisine, opened its doors on Tuesday, October 29, and has been serving up breakfast and lunch daily ever since.

Sabores Latinos bills itself as a “local, family owned Latin American Restaurant” and its menu is nothing short of a world tour in food, showcasing cuisine from a variety of Spanish-speaking countries including El Salvador, Colombia, and others spread across Central and South America.

Specialities like bandeja paisa, churrasco, and pupusas, which are thick flatbreads made from cornmeal or rice flour, are some of the authentic offerings that span the day. For breakfast, arepas (corn meal patties) accompanied with toppings like cheese, ham, and eggs, are an affordable and hearty way to start the day.

The menu is extensive, the food is deliciously seasoned, and the service is quick. There are a variety of options available, including lighter fare and heartier options, like

The restaurant even features a variety of fresh drinks from all around the country, including a variant of the popular Mexican drink horchata that comes from El Salvador.

In addition to dine-in and delivery options like Bite Squad, Sabores Latinos offers catering services through their website.

According to the restaurant’s social media, as of November 5, the hours are Tuesday to Saturday from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., Sunday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The restaurant is closed on Monday.
