The Humane Society of Marion County recently released a short list detailing the foods you should and should not feed to your pets on Thanksgiving.
The list of prohibited foods is as follows:
  • Turkey Skin
  • Turkey Bones
  • Gravy
  • Stuffing
  • Sage
  • Raisins/Grapes
  • Onion
  • Garlic
  • Nutmeg
  • Nuts
  • Mushrooms
  • Fat Trimmings
  • Corn on the Cob
  • Chocolate
  • Candied Yams
  • Butter
  • Bread Dough
  • Alcohol
The list of foods that owners should lean towards is significantly shorter and includes light turkey meat, cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes without butter, sweet potatoes, pumpkin, green beans, and apple slices.
