Homeless man charged with trespassing at Salvation Army

Zachery Matthew Boyea

A 32-year-old homeless man was arrested recently when he returned to the Salvation Army after being issued a trespass warning earlier in the day.

Zachary Boyea was found sitting on the benches outside the homeless shelter, located at 320 NW 1st Ave., at around 3 p.m. by the same Ocala Police officer who trespassed him. Boyea said he knew he was trespassing and that the officer would just have to take him to jail, according to the police report.

Boyea is being held in the Marion County Jail on $500 bond and will appear in Marion County Court on Jan. 29.
