Marion County has announced the opening of county-operated boat ramps and/or onsite restrooms at a variety of facilities.
All Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission regulations will be enforced with enhanced law enforcement presence at the sites, which include:
- Carney Island Recreation & Conservation Area boat ramps and restrooms only; Lake Weir
- Heagy-Burry boat ramp; Orange Lake
- Moorhead boat ramp and onsite restrooms only; Lake Kerr
- Moss Bluff North boat ramps and onsite restrooms only; Ocklawaha River
- Moss Bluff South boat ramps and onsite restrooms; Ocklawaha River
- Ray Wayside Park boat ramp and restrooms only; Ocklawaha and Silver rivers.
The following county-owned recreation areas and passive open spaces are remaining open to the public:
- Baseline Road Trailhead and adjacent trailheads
- Brick City Adventure Park
- Cougar Park
- Ocala/Marion County Veterans Memorial Park
- Ocklawaha Community Park
- Orange Lake Overlook
- Salt Springs Civic Park (civic center is managed by the Salt Springs Civic Association)
- Sandhill Park
- Silver Springs Conservation Area
- Silver Springs Shores Park
- Weirsdale Park
- Willoughby Park.
County-owned facilities that remain closed to the public include:
- Playgrounds and pavilions
- Southeastern Livestock Pavilion
- Sports complexes.
The following parks and recreation areas also are closed:
- Belleview Sportsplex
- Brick City Activity Center
- Carney Island Recreation & Conservation Area; other than the boat ramps and restrooms
- Coehadjoe Park
- Eureka East and Eureka West boat ramps
- Flemington Park
- Forest Community Center
- Gores Landing
- Hampton Beach
- Hope boat ramp
- Horseshoe Lake Park & Retreat
- John Van Fleet Sports Complex
- Kiwanis Beach
- KP Hole Park
- Liberty Community Park
- Marshall Swamp Trailhead
- Orange Lake Community Park
- Orange Springs boat ramp
- Rainbow Neighborhood Park
