Publix reverts back to regular hours as Florida reopens amid COVID-19 pandemic

A popular grocery store chain in Marion County has returned to its normal hours as Florida moves through the reopening process amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

Publix, which has multiple locations in Marion County, has announced that its stores will now be open daily from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Its pharmacies also will return to normal operating hours.

With the expanded hours in place, Publix also announced that it is suspending reserved shopping hours for seniors, first responders and healthcare workers. The company suggested that anyone who prefers to shop when stores are the least crowded should consider coming in during the first hour of the day.
