Ocala man popped in Belleview for driving with suspended license

Ryan Damond Jackson

An Ocala man was charged with driving with a suspended license after being pulled over in Belleview.

At around 2 a.m. Thursday, a Belleview Police officer saw an SUV come out of the parking lot of the Circle K store at 5198 SE Abshier Blvd. and start traveling southbound with no visible tail lights. The officer started following the vehicle, which conducted a U-turn and started going north before being stopped in a parking lot at 6041 SE Abshier Blvd., according to the police report.

The officer spoke with the driver – Ryan Damond Jackson, 36, of 3809 SE 17th St. in Ocala – who immediately said he didn’t have a valid license. A records search showed Jackson has seven prior convictions for driving with a suspended or revoked license. His license was revoked in February 2014, the report said.

Jackson was taken to the Marion County Jail, where he was released later in the day on $10,000 bond.
