Fort King National Historic Landmark is located at 3925 E Fort King Street in Ocala.

The city of Ocala is in need of volunteers to man the Archeological Research Center at Fort King National Historic Landmark and Visitor Center.

The Ocala Recreation and Parks department made the announcement through social media recently. The solicitation asks for volunteers on Fridays and Saturdays between 12 and 5 p.m.

Volunteer responsibilities will include working with archeologists on collection processing and logging artifacts at the center. All those volunteering will undergo a training course upon acceptance.
