Gene Sauer, 73 of Ocala, Florida, beloved husband of Sandy Sauer for 51 years, lost his battle to cancer on December 27, 2020. He passed away peacefully and was surrounded by his loved ones.
He was predeceased by his parents, Eugene and Marion Sauer.
Besides his wife, Sandy, Gene is survived by his children, Amy and her husband, Phil, of Marietta, Georgia, Lea Deutscher and her finance, Jason Jones of Ocala, FL and his grandchildren, Ethan and Ashlyn Deustcher and Taelor and Madison Jones, along with his brother Allen Sauer or Mount Pleasant, SC.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, there are no immediate plans for a public service. The family will hold a celebration of life at a later date.
