Ocala Police searching for wallet bandit who targeted Walmart electric cart

Ocala Police officers are searching for a man who recently ripped off a wallet from a local Wal-Mart.

Ocala Police officers are searching for the man pictured above, who is accused of stealing a wallet from a local Wal-Mart recently.

Police say the man pictured above entered the store, located at 2600 S.W, 19th Avenue Rd., on March 25 and took the wallet that was accidentally left behind by a customer in the basket of an electric cart. The thief didn’t turn it into loss prevention nor contact law enforcement and was seen on surveillance video putting the wallet into the bag with his groceries and leaving the store, a report states.

The wallet contained cash, credit cards and the victim’s personal identification. Anyone with information about the crime or the suspect is asked to contact Officer Danielle Braun at (352) 369-7000.
