We need supermarket, retail stores in northwest Ocala, not more gas stations

To the Editor:

I have been living in Ocala for the last 16 years. I, also have been waiting for a update to the dilapidated buildings and motels. It’s embarrassing to have visitors and friends coming to Ocala and drive them by sidewalks and curves full of weeds and garbage. Lots where unconscious people dispose of their trash and unwanted furniture and much more. We don’t need any more Gas Stations! We, in the northwest side of town are in need of supermarkets and stores where to shop. Drive by 44th NW Avenue and you’ll see the abandonment of lots, streets and weed strips all over. My property taxes went up every year, but nothing has changed in 16 years.
