Ocala man pulls rifle on neighbors who he claims were stalking him for the FBI, CIA

An Ocala man was charged with aggravated assault after pulling out a rifle on his neighbors because he claimed they were stalking him.

A Marion County Sheriff’s deputy responded to SW 108th Street in reference to an incident with a firearm on June 10.

A witness stated he was inside when he heard a vehicle’s horn going off. He stated he went outside and observed the neighbor, 36-year-old Nathan Yedinak, in his vehicle in his driveway. He stated Yedinak started a verbal altercation about stalking and messing with him. The witness claimed Yedinak appeared to be under the influence or not in the right state of mind. He stated his son came outside to see what the altercation was about and the witness went inside to get his bag. He stated before he went inside, he observed a rifle in the seat of Yedinak’s vehicle, according to the sheriff’s report.

The son stated he heard the altercation and went outside to see what the issue was. He stated, when his father went back inside to get his bag, Yedinak acted like he was going to get into his vehicle but instead pulled out a rifle and pointed it at him. The son stated Yedinak told him “You’re going die today if you [expletive] with me.” The victim claimed he was in fear and does not know Yedinak personally, according to the report.

A deputy responded to the location at 10709 SW 55th Avenue and made contact with Yedinak. He claimed the neighbor had been hacking into his devices and was tied to a previous amber alert. Yedinak initially claimed he does not have any weapons inside the home, according to the report.

Yedinak later admitted he went to the victim’s home to confront the son and father about allegedly stalking him and said the FBI and CIA are involved. He stated during the altercation, the father went to go get a bag and the son became more irate approaching him. Yedinak admiited he went back into his vehicle and showed the son his rifle, according to the report.

Yedinak escorted a deputy into the home to retrieve the weapons and he collected both firearms and confirmed the rifle was the weapon he used during the altercation, the report stated.

Yedinak was arrested and transported to the Marion County Jail on June 10 with a bond set at $10,000.

He was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. A court date is set for July 13 at 9 a.m., jail records show.
