A Publix in northeast Ocala that has been closed for renovations is nearing completion.
The renovated Publix, which is located at 2647 NE 35th Street in the Pearl Britain Plaza, is in the final stages of development. Crews are currently finalizing the plaza parking lot, which has remained partially open to accommodate customers visiting the other shops in Pearl Britain Plaza.
Publix is now just one location shy of ten across Ocala, with popular stops along SW 200, SE Maricamp, East Silver Springs Boulevard, and U.S. Hwy 27.
Earlier this year, Publix joined a long list of grocers and retailers that stopped requiring the use of face coverings for “fully vaccinated associates or customers.”
“In accordance with CDC guidelines, individuals who are not fully vaccinated are required to use face coverings over their noses and mouths while inside any Publix store,” reads a press release from the company.
