Two victims injured in Paddock Mall parking lot shooting

The Ocala Police Department is currently investigating a shooting at the Paddock Mall in which two victims were shot in the parking lot.

The organization made the announcement via social media shortly after 5 p.m.

“We received initial reports that there was an active shooter in the mall, however, it was an isolated shooting that took place in the parking lot of the mall,” reads a post from the Ocala Police Department on social media.

According to OPD, there were two victims and both have injuries that are not life threatening.

Ocala Police Department is advising residents to avoid the area.

Earlier this year, the Paddock Mall was evacuated after a bomb threat had to be investigated by local authorities.
