Traveling 9-11 Memorial Wall police escort through Ocala, Marion County on Sept 10

The Traveling 9-11 Memorial Wall will be accompanied by a local motorcycle escort ride through Ocala and Marion County.

On Friday, September 10, police officers will escort the Traveling Memorial Wall through the area. The wall memorializes the names of all the civilians, police, and military personnel who died on September 11, 2001.
Bikes will stage at the War Horse Harley-Davidson located at 5331 N U.S. Highway 441. Registration for the event will take place from 8 a.m. to 9:45 a.m., and kick stands will go up at 10 a.m., according to an event announcement.
In 2019, thousands visited the wall, which was accompanied through the streets of Ocala and Marion County by a procession of first responders, veterans, and motorcyclists.

This ride is sponsored by War Horse Harley-Davidson, the Friends of Marion County Veteran’s Park, Mission BBQ, Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, Hospice of Marion County and the Ocala Marion County Veterans Park. Lunch provided by sponsor Mission BBQ.
